FAQ
What can we expect during a session?
There's no script and very little posing. I'll give you gentle direction when it's helpful, but most of the session is about letting your family simply be together. We'll move, play, cuddle, explore, and settle into movements that naturally unfold. My goal is for your photographs to feel like you - not a perfectly posed version of you.
Do you photograph more than just Motherhood sessions?
Absolutely. Motherhood is at the heart of my work, but I photograph families in all of their seasons - from growing bellies and newborn days to wild toddlers, childhood, and the beautiful ordinary years in between. If there is connection, there is a story worth documenting.
What should we wear?
Whatever feels like you. I love clothing that moves, photographs beautifully, and feels natural rather than overly coordinated. I am more than happy to offer wardrobe guidance - in fact, I strongly encourage it!
What if my kids don't cooperate?
Then we photograph that, too.
Children don't need to sit still, smile on command, or behave perfectly for your photographs to be meaningful. Some of my favorite images come from the moments that weren't planned at all. We'll follow their lead, give them space to be themselves, and let the session unfold from there.
What makes your approach different?
I'm less interested in creating a perfect picture and more interested in preserving a real feeling.
My work is cinematic and documentary-inspired, but always grounded in connection. I'm looking for the quiet things -
because photographs should remind you not only of what your life looked like, but what it felt like to be inside of it.
